This is a great companion for iracing. I recommend this to anyone who races online. I contact them twice and got very quick replies and great customer service! I ask for a feature and they were already set to release it.
What a fantastic application to display your iRacing telemetry on idevices. Instantaneous. Pick from multiple hi-visibility gauge styles then size and place anywhere onscreen. A must-have APP when display settings restrict your view in-car dashboard gauges. Perfect for Triple-Screen play and a Very impressive add-on for your sim-rig I might add.
Support was prompt and courteous while they tailored the application around my personal network issues. Will definitely add more Gauge Packs as I determine what data is most helpful.
With my current setup in iRacing, my FOV prevents me from seeing the in cockpit dash. This becomes problematic when the need to monitor temps on water and oil is a necessity.

This app gives me a fully customizable dash with fully customizable gauges and telemetry options. I had originally considered buying a cheap USB monitor for this purpose but iHud takes care of this at a fraction of the cost. For $3.99 I get excellent value for a product that increases my immersion in the sim while at the same time provides me with vital on track information.

Download the Server App for the PC from the publisher MightyGates website. Once you figure out how to enable the Server App for communication from iRacing on the PC to the iHUD app on the iPhone via WiFi it works good. The user manual downloadable from publishers website is not entirely up-to-date having instructions only up to Windows 8.1 and suggesting that compatible only to Win8.1. But I am running Windows 10 and it does work and I was able to figure out how do allow the Server app to let data through the Firewall even though the Win8.1 instructions are not exactly the same. I have experienced some server disconnects and have not been able to understand why which is a bit aggravating when it happens in the middle of a race. The iPhone will need to be plugged in on longer races >30mins as it does seem to use a lot of power. I do like the customization features, but again it took me a while (and there was nothing in instructions) to figure out the the iHUD app begins with a blank slate and the first thing you have to do is configure your dash by adding widgets though the Edit function. IMO it should start with a default dash configuration because I wasted a lot of time and frustration figuring out what I needed to do. There are a total of five dash screens that can be configured by the user. In summary, I would have given 5 stars except for out-of-date manual, server disconnects, high power usage and lack of a default dash configuration. At least MightyGate appears, Im assuming, to be supporting the app which is not univerally the case for iRacing Dash type apps. For that, I move the from 3 starts to 4.
Some bad moments
With the timing package the app has a lot of crash! Developers fix it... for now, i not recommend this app.
Bought this app for buttons for fuel and tires ect.... They dont work want my money back!!!!!!! -and I paid extra for them !!!!!
It does exactly what its supposed to reliably and without noticeable lag. Though I cant seem to get it to display in mph and imperial units since the last update... Only kph and liters.
I love to see the same app for simraceway.
iHUD for iRacing allows for customizable dashboards with the gauges that YOU want to use and in the size, style and location that works best your particular needs.
The developer is active in the iRacing forums and is open to suggestions and ideas which is nice to see.

Im new to iRacing, so I was looking for apps that can help me get the most out of the iRacing experience. Was a little hesitant to pay the $4.99 for this, but its nice that its a universal app. Ive been using this for a few hours on my iPad, and its really nice to have. Im not glancing at my iPad that much while racing, but its still nice to have.
The app itself works fine, connects to the small server application instantly, and seems to be pulling the information up in real-time.
Just wish that the speedometers were available in MPH. The F430 one seems to be the only MPH speedometer. Other than that, this app is great.
I love the app and it helps me concentrate on the road but I wish the measurements werent metric with Celsius and liters. Put in a option to always have the gauge in both systems because I want to know how many gallons I have left in my cup car and put in another gauge for estimated laps left in my tank
